Walter Baier was elected President of the Party of the European Left at the 7th Party Congress held in Vienna in mid-December last year. He left at the same time the coordination team of Dialop, of which he had been a member since its foundation. He declared that he would remain committed to the Christian-Marxist Dialogue and would support Dialop to the best of his ability.
